I've been pissed about a lot of things about Subway Surfers; the glitches, the annoying 'icons' that way/shake (which BTW is literally the worst thing/most annoying thing you can do), the retarded copy and paste response in Google Play for negative views, What do we have to do to get a 5-star rating?... Gee, I don't know, the fix the problems??? That would be my first guess.
Now, a new glitch that will wipe your progress if you set up Subway Surfers on new device., even if it is the same OS.
I set up Subway Surfers on a Samsung Galaxy A3, and it would not sync.
I close and reopened the app, no sync. I collected coins, no sync. I wiped the app (cleared the data and went through the tutorial again, and still the same thing. I collected coins this time in the tutorial, 208. It did not sync.
I tried wiping the app again, this time it synced... only the 208 coins I get earlier.
Years of progress, millions of coins, characters, rewards, points, all gone.
I tried to sync it on another device, it synced the 208 coins, that was it.
I removed Subway Surfers on one device and left it on my most recent one, in case there was a way they can recover it.

I'm Done With Subway Surfers; Why It Sucks

Subway Surfers Will Not Connect To The Internet
This is a common problem. I have an ASUS router; only a few years old. I've tried reseting it, factory reset, and firmware update; none of this things fix it.
At my parents' place, the app works well on their Wi-Fi. Switching from 5Ghz to 2.4GHz or vice-versa doesn't work either. I can't confirm if getting a new router will fix the issue. I'm with Xplornet; my Internet speed is usually <1Mbps. I've no issue with any other mobile game so far.
It has nothing to do with your phone, it's an issue with the app, for everything else works fine on the same network. Unfortunately, this problem will not be fixed anytime soon, for the developers aren't aware of this issue.
How to fix it:
Switch your phone on mobile data.
If your phone or tablet doesn't have mobile data, and if you have another mobile device, you can switch that other device on mobile hotspot. That will allow other devices to connect to it and use the mobile data via a Wi-Fi connection.
Once you've done that, switch your Wi-Fi on your phone or tablet to that of the device that is using mobile hotspot.
I am hopefully switching ISPs soon, with faster Internet. I will post an update if the game still has the problem with the new router, and if it still has the problem with my current router.
Update: I wasn't able to switch my router, due to it being proprietary. I have tried two different routers. I connected to them and it still doesn't fix the problem.
How To Get Rid Of 'Happening In Subway Surfers' In Google Play
You probably seen this annoying section pop-up when you go to update your apps.
Google has enabled this useless feature for games to post some 'ad' for reasons I can't comprehend. Pressing the x will only remove it temporarily. I thought that the only way to remove was to delete the game, until recently. I found out by accident that there is a way to remove it permanently.
You need: two Google profiles.
If you don't have another one, you can just make one up, which is even better.
In Google Play, they have the option of switching from one account to the other.
Delete Subway Surfers.
Switch to your other Google account in the Google Play Store
Redownload Subway Surfers via your other Google profile.
Now, just open Subway Surfers, go through the tutorial, and 'log in' like you have before. You can do this for all games that have this annoying ad section.
If you're worried that it won't update via your main profile, don't worry. No matter what profile you're in, all apps on your phone will update.
Update: This does not work, but there is good news; Google Play updated the interface and you no long see that crap. ^-^
